Description

In commemoration of the World Koma Championships to be held in Hachioji City, we collaborated with Hachioji's town factories to produce koma made in Hachioji.

It is meaningless just to make the koma in Hachioji. We designed it to take advantage of the high quality of the domestic factories, to make it the culmination of our past koma development, and to develop it to become the standard for a new generation of koma that will be taken for granted to be played not only on the floor but in the palm of one's hand as well.

The shape of the koma is based on Muku, a development of Mozu.

The rim section is thickened for added weight and performance. The material is polycarbonate with high transparency. Weighing approximately 37g, it is slightly heavier than the Tsubame Koma.

The grooves that increase friction for wrapping the string, which was the conventional norm, have been eliminated. By devising the shape and angle, the ease of winding the string has evolved even though the surface is smooth.

Injection molding of plastic Seiho Corporation (Higashi Asakawa, Hachioji City)

Seiho developed this product to achieve a level of transparency never seen before in the history of koma. The molds are also ingeniously designed so that the position of the gate where the plastic flows in and the push pins when removing the product from the mold are not visible, resulting in a clean shape with no scratches or dents anywhere.

Shinano Seiki Seisakusho Co., Ltd. machining Koma Shafts (Shimo-Onkata, Hachioji City, Hachioji)

More than a swallow, less than a falcon. This is an entry-level model with a new shaft shape that is easy to perform techniques while also taking safety into consideration. When custom weights are added, the straight shaft of a swallow may fall out due to the weight, so the same stepped shaft as a horn shaft is used. We designed a shaft with 3 mm at the apex and 4 mm at the tip. The performance is improved by the lighter weight of the shaft and the stepped design makes it difficult to pull out, thus satisfying the specifications for a competition piece.

We have also incorporated a slight protrusion that prevents the string from coming off when tightrope walking or snaking.

This creates a minimum amount of snagging. This design reduces the possibility of snagging in places where it is not supposed to, and allows for a wider range of use for advanced users.

For players who want a more solid grip, bearings and washers with an inner diameter of 4 mm can be installed. Please try to devise a shaft circumference more specialized to the technique you want to perform.

Since the inner diameter is stepped at 48mm, weight rings for yo-yos can be used. (There is a compatibility of framing).

It can also be fitted with a flange as in the previous series. Future development of exclusive parts is also planned.

Please enjoy Ohruri as a piece that can be customized in various ways!
