Kyoku Koma (Wire walker)
Description
This is a work by Tamotsu Fukushima, a craftsman of Edo-Koma.
We inspected it and found it to be well balanced, and because of its weight and diameter, it crosses well over a string.
Traditionally, kyoku koma were not in general circulation for use by professional performers, and it was difficult to obtain one even if one wanted to practice with it. This time, we were able to procure them by visiting the workshop directly.
Please consider that they are handmade and made of natural materials, so their condition may change depending on storage conditions.

The shaft will bend if dropped from a high place. To become a professional, you need to start by acquiring the skill to fix a bent axis.
