This pointed spindle is designed for the “tricks” used during the pre-release sale, commonly known as “Super Swallow.”

Because the tip is pointed, there is less friction, making it easier to perform tricks from a palm-rest position. (When spinning on the floor, a standard round spindle provides more stability.)

Spin Gear has independently developed this spinning top based on advice from top players. By applying the expertise gained from yo-yos to spinning tops, we’ve created a durable, lightweight top that spins for a long time.

Using the design data from the Machikoma Project Hayabusa—which was machined from a solid block—we created a mold to produce a low-cost, high-performance top. This release features two models: the Tsubame and its sister model, the Hibari.

The Tsubame was developed using the same POM material as the Hayabusa, with the goal of creating a top that is both affordable and highly durable.
While the Hibari offers superior ease of spinning and rotational precision, the Tsubame is made of a denser plastic, making it heavier; however, if spun correctly, it delivers spin performance equal to or better than the Hibari.

Since the cap comes off easily, you can replace the inner cardboard insert to create spinning tops with your own original designs.
We recommend these for children’s centers, after-school programs, and educational facilities that want to stock a large quantity.
