Designed specifically for 3A play, this model took approximately three years to develop as we sought to perfect these three fundamental characteristics. Named after the peony—the prefectural flower of Shimane Prefecture, whose floral meanings include ‘the dignity of a champion’ and ‘sincerity’—it has finally come into its own.

The first prototype was powerful and robust, but was scrapped due to its weight of 68g, which was out of step with current trends.
The ‘CP-03’ made a significant contribution as an experimental prototype, demonstrating the changes brought about by fine details, following modifications to its weight and shape, as well as adjustments to the control edge, edges and weight distribution.

Based on these models, we sought the cooperation of our team member, Mr Hosaki, to re-adjust the shape from scratch.
The diameter has been reduced by 1mm.
The gap has been narrowed and the separator widened to achieve a balance between glide and return.
Adjustments to the shape and the stainless steel rim make it easier to place on the string and provide a responsive feel.

The diameter and width, which are slightly smaller than the mainstream, enhance throwability and manoeuvrability; the angle from the edge to the control edge reduces spin loss and tilt; and the thick, wide stainless steel rim provides robust rotational power, supporting tricks right through to the end of long combos.
Furthermore, the thick side face, inspired by a peony flower, enhances the strength around the axis in 3A, where violent collisions are inevitable, ensuring it will serve as a long-lasting partner.
